Izzy’s Law FL Surpasses 700 Petition Signatures - And We’re Just Getting Started

We are incredibly proud to share an important milestone: the Izzy’s Law FL petition has officially surpassed 700 signatures.

More than 700 people have now stood up and said that the safety of children must come first.

Every signature represents a person who believes that children deserve to be protected when domestic violence, abuse, threats, or other serious safety concerns exist in a parent’s household. Every signature helps strengthen our voice as we continue advocating for meaningful change in Florida’s family court system.

More Than Just a Number

Crossing 700 signatures is exciting, but this campaign has never been about reaching a number on a screen.

It is about children.

It is about families who find themselves facing impossible situations and wondering why known dangers are not always given the weight they deserve when decisions are made about where a child must live or visit.

It is about ensuring that when credible evidence of domestic violence or serious threats exists, the safety and well-being of a child are placed at the center of the decision-making process.

That is the mission behind Izzy’s Law FL.

700 Voices Are Now Standing With Us

When this advocacy began, we knew that creating change would require people willing to listen, learn, share, and speak up.

Today, more than 700 people have done exactly that.

Some signed because they have personally experienced the impact of domestic violence.

Some signed because they know someone whose family has been affected.

Others simply believe in a principle that should never be controversial:

Children should not be knowingly placed in dangerous environments.

To every person who has signed, shared the petition, talked about Izzy’s Law FL, donated, or encouraged someone else to learn about our mission - thank you.

You are helping this movement grow.

But 700 Signatures Is Only the Beginning

This milestone gives us even more motivation to keep moving forward.

Our next goal is to reach even more Floridians, community organizations, domestic violence advocates, lawmakers, parents, grandparents, and citizens who believe our family court system should take known domestic violence and serious safety risks into account when determining what is in the best interests of a child.

The larger this movement becomes, the harder it becomes to ignore.
